DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer

Creative Radicals is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our product development team. In this role you’ll
use your strong AWS experience to deploy and operate our flagship software-as-a-service product in a
secure, highly available, and cost-effective manner. You’ll work closely with the software developers to
automate processes and develop tools for monitoring and troubleshooting. In short, you’ll join a team of
world class, highly motivated professionals working on our state-of-the-art cloud-based product.

Responsibilities
• Utilize your I.T. skills and extend them into DevOps processes via automation
• Create OS baselines that follow regulatory compliance frameworks
• Design solutions with security focused mindset and routinely encourage changes to enhance the
organization’s security posture
• Desire and ability to adapt existing SaaS to follow regulatory compliance frameworks
• Ability to clearly articulate planned tasks and outcome of I.T. changes to affected parties and
stakeholders
• Strong desire to be visionary who will initialize, modernize, socialize and take ownership of new
or existing projects
• Ability and desire to internalize problems and design tools that empower developers or internal
end-users in a confined and controllable fashion
• Motivation to seek out I.T. inefficiencies and create automated and auditable solutions
• Deploy and operate our AWS-based system securely and reliably
• Develop tools for automatic monitoring and deployment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, development, and QA environments

Must-haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar degree OR 5+ years equivalent experience
• Willingness to participate in on call shifts, and respond to problems outside of traditional
business hours
• CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
• Operating environment certification (preferred, can be expired)
• AWS Certified (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
• CompTIA Linux+
• Linux Foundation Certification (LFCS)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Skills & Knowledge
• Expert Linux administrator
• Dedicated and motivated to research and employ best practices to keep our system up and
available 24/7
• Experience with configuration management tools, Bash, Python, JavaScript, JSON and YAML
• Ability to troubleshoot networking issues
• Experience working with our technology stack, or comparable products, in a production
environment:
• Kubernetes
• MongoDB
• RabbitMQ
• Redis
